- Grew up in Wilmette, IL. Went to New Trier High School. Went to Vassar College, studied Philosophy and Film, graduated in 2000. Then a coupla dot-com jobs, some temping, some freelance Final Cut Pro editing, some business world stuff, then started my film/tv career proper doing assistant editing for a reality show on the E! channel. After that, two years as Equipment Manager and in-house freelancer for a busy production services company in Soho. Nowadays I'm a freelance camera guy and up-and-coming director. I've got a fantastic girlfriend named Jen, a wonderful family, and the greatest set of friends in the world, seriously. If you're a friend of Dan Merrill, you're a friend of mine.
